They did not add new armor-- the armor between leather and iron is chainmail. It is currently in the game, but can't be obtained legitimately.

And please, read the thread before asking about things like the quiver that multiple people have already asked.

They aren't taking it away. Look at IGN's vid on 1.8 :biggrin.gif: shows Survival as an option when they show footage of 1.8!

Cooked porkchop got a major retexture. The cracks in mossy cobblestone are less dark. A change has been make to water and ice (transparency?) that is not yet perceptible in-game.
