It's a stupid lawsuit...Bethesda is suing Mojang over a single word. stupid lawsuit deserves a stupid offer. I'm sure notch is merely mocking Bethesda, knowing they wouldn't accept such a ridiculous offer, but hoping they'd realize that they're suing Mojang for such an idiotic reason..if anybody is immature right now, it's Bethesda

It's immature for two game companies to use games to settle something? Seems kind of... belittling to their own medium if the lawyers of a game company see games as nothing more than a toy for children... If anything, it makes me not want to buy from Bethesda. If they see games as children's toys, than tehy view their consumers as immature... which is insulting.
I think some people suffer from this idea that games are not a legitimate art yet. There is nothing wrong with using games to settle things. Just like there is nothing wrong with other mediums competing using their mediums. Doesn't an artist in a rivalry fight through art, by trying to achieve a higher quality and competing through their work. Why should game companies be any different? I mean, I suppose making and playing are different things, but again, I'd think that one would have to be fairly knowledgeable about the act of playing if they're making games...
I just burst out laughing when I read this. The governments of the world should implement this in their judiciary system (Would you like the standard jury based trial or deck it out in Quake 3?) Would be epic.
Great offer, but it's a win-win situation for Mojang. Either way they're not being sued. And if they lose, they just have to change the name. But I hope that Mojang wins.
