that bar withe food might mean a new difficulty called realistic mode. i learned this using minecraft wiki.

so you can launch the game without downloading a exe or jar and it is not loaded in the internet browser, therefore removing alooot of lag!

About the height limit:

The level height in Minecraft now depends on a single field in the Level class, for easier modding. The default will remain 128, though.

Could this mean that there might be an option to set your world height when you make a new world?
