Amazing architecture is definitely one of the high points of Minecraft, and this video is no exception. vssdgames brings us a tour of a map based on a book he's working on, and the visuals are nothing shy of impressive. Words don't do it justice - give it a look!
Digital Diamonds is an ongoing look at Minecraft-related videos that have been submitted to the Minecraft forum video section. We'll be selecting memorable videos and those resonating with the community to share with everyone on the front page.
Well, you could look at it this way: the book inspires the building BUT the building can inspire the book. Writes don't write every waking hour and being creative this way provides a very good way to stimulate the mind while still relating to his book and the story that accompanies it.
BTW... would love to get to explore this on my own. vssdgames, if you are reading these comments, how about a download link even if you are not done.
Thanks all for the Kind words - My book is actually done - just being edited, it's called Draegonborn. The world - is a bit from finished, (have to finish the tree city - an underground city, a floating city & a very large ruined city) but I do plan to put a download for it once it is complete.
I have 2 friends that are helping currently - They add things that are not necessarily in the book but add feel to the world (one is working on a ruined castle along the skyway & the other an underground surprise)I may put a download up once we get the tree city done if I can figure out how (still fairly new to mc, only been playing little over a month)
