This is the only thing I absolutely do not welcome in Minecraft. This is what I never want Minecraft to be. Everyone Notch has done until now has been absolutely amazing, but this, **** this.

Minecraft Revolution is a brand new Minecraft social network that makes up the "social half" of Minecraft.
Your site's motto should be: "I haven't been outside in weeks!"
Honestly, I hate it. Minecraft isn't a mediveal game, it is not thou quest to get to level -?- strength. It feels like some unoriginal everyday online game now.

The last girlfriend I had was back in 2004... I haven't had time for relationships, I've been married to Minecraft.
I could be wrong, and someone else might have already said this, but I don't think those are stats. I believe they're potion effects that the player has. That's the only explanation to why the numbers look like times. Just a theory though.

Honestly dude, how can we say what Minecraft is? Notch said Minecraft would probably end up a very different game when it finally released, and we knew this. None of us really knew how Minecraft would end up. The only person who does is Notch.
I think stat's, leveling up and potions will make a great addition to the game if done correctly. I just hope that it makes you be able to do things faster...not that it makes certain things impossible to do until you reach a certain level. Anyone can make a diamond pickaxe if they have the diamonds. What's wrong with being able to get diamonds 25% faster if you've already collected stacks of diamonds? I also hope that the leveling cap is relatively low as I don't want to see Minecraft turning into a game about grinding.
I'd be for:
* Leveling up your mining speed
* Leveling up the rate your tools wear down
* Leveling up number of resources obtained from blocks (Make bars appear on the right slightly faster than blocks wear down on the left when smelting, so you get at first 11 bars for 10 blocks, later 15 or 20 bars for 10 blocks...)
I'd also be for:
* Leveling up having an effect on spawn rates
* Leveling up having an effect on what mobs spawn (No creepers below level 3, to let people get started? More interesting / tougher mobs later? No spiders until level 5, so getting that first bow is ever so much sweeter?)
^----^----^
The above would make it less tedious to get materials once you've already had enough of digging blocks, and make the game change slightly as you play it which is good. For example we could have more dangerous mobs at high levels, so our forts actually have something to defend against IF we've been going around killing mobs. People who don't tend to go around killing a bunch of mobs wouldn't tend to level up. Of course, they would want to level so they can get the other goodies that come with it... but they might have to put up with ceiling zombies or something to get that double-speed digging perk.
For people who don't want the leveling, easy solution! No more skill points for killing pigs and cows (kinda silly), and add the ability to brew beer! Beer makes you dig fast but ticks down your experience points. We've already got wheat! Could also make ghasts unable to see you in the Nether when you're drunk. Would be lots of fun. You get to explore the Nether, at the expense of XP, but have to make sure you don't sober up because once a ghast sees you for the first time the trick stops working.
I'd be super against this though, as it would turn into "every other rpg":
* Leveling up making mobs tougher so that you have to put points into stuff to match them (no thanks!)
* Leveling up making you deal more damage (Also leads to "every other rpg"-craft)
* Not being able to do certain things without leveling up (No grinding!)
At the guy(s) who keep posting "OMGWTFBBQ PPL IT WONT BE IN 1.9"
They're still paying people to work on it aren't they? Just because it won't be in 1.9 doesn't mean it's not a thing that might / probably might be in MC at some point. There will be releases past 1.9. And we're still going to talk about it because it's an interesting idea.
yeah, that's what you all said before 1.8 came out and when it did, it was utter ****. same went with 1.9 pre. nothing added to spark up any real interest. I hope jeb_ knows what he's doing with this one.

its either buffs or cooldowns as it has timers on it not little bits where you can add points into stat like things. and ima guess buffs as water breathing is on there and that has never needed a cooldown before

i got a texture pack now, its here it changes how armor and tools look and has a few slight changes to a few blocks in terrain like making the redstone torch look more like a redstone torch then a lollipop.
