Also, who thought F3+F for fog was a good idea? Not that I have to worry about lowering the settings from Far at any given time, but just knowing that the function now is pants-on-head retarded will bug the absolute hell out of me.

those abandoned mineshafts are friggin HUGE! and theres so many mobspawners in there!
its so easy to get lost in there and break out in a panic where you wall yourself in inside one of the small rooms and stay there until you die of starvation
@SpootKnight: Glad I'm not the oly one upset about that. Though, I WILL need to toggle distance so it's even worse for me. And, likely Notch is the idiot who thought it was a good idea. He feels that the toggle shouldn't exist at all and thinks this is a good compromise, but it makes Minecraft near impossible for me to play. It's not fun when I have to stop moving to clear up lag every few minutes. If I swtich from peaceful I'm going to be killed by creepers more than I should due to having to stop fleeing to fix lag.
