Tal brings us a special treat today, and one that I personally never expected to see - Minecraft Parkour! With an amazing demonstration of agility and reaction time, he clears a ready-made (if not insanely dangerous!) obstacle course with the reflexes of a cat. Give it a look, and see how many times you find yourself saying "How did he not fall there?!"
Digital Diamonds is an ongoing look at Minecraft-related videos that have been submitted to the Minecraft forum video section. We'll be selecting memorable videos and those resonating with the community to share with everyone on the front page.
I'll admit, the creator has fast reaction time and the like, but really this isn't a Digital Diamond. It's just a bunch of stones put at maximum jump length, followed by a pixel art. I'd rather you guys put up something like a redstone video.
Frankly, I don't like how they called it Parkour. This is not Parkour. It is a guy running and jumping. Parkour involves running, jumping, climbing, rolling, grabbing ledges, etc. Minecraft doesn't allow you to do this. However, there are some mods out there that do.
I don't get why the ability to climb ledges hasn't been implemented. With new landforms and mountains and such, we're going to need a better form of vertical transportation than 1x1 towers all the way to the sky. Really.
Holy crap guys, thanks for featuring this! I'm in awe! and the video is legit, took about 160+ tries and 3 hours. Working on another one with M33taphor, the guy who's making the miner's edge series now! Show him some love as well if you can!
