This mob is useless. And how do you come up with the idea of crafting a mob, that's just wrong. Notch comes up with the idea if a mob throwing 0 damage snowballs, and in the end getting itself killed. Notch should really be adding more sea and air mobs, the sea has useless squids, and the air is just empty. Hopefully Dragons are added. The Snow Golem doesn't even look right.
Personally I think this is an excellent idea. Seriously it's creative and unique and I can't wait to try out the snowman.
Notch created the creepers out of scratch and look how far they got. We don't need anymore games with the watered down recycled crap(such as trolls, goblins etc). Minecraft has the potential to be one of the best PC games of all time. If it keeps heading in this direction(with mushroom cows/pet snowman), this will be a trademark game of the ages(such as mario, portal, etc.)

Um. This is... Interesting. Honestly? I would prefer not to have frosty fighting for me, and instead have some more badass golem, like a stone golem that could be made with some sort of ore. But hey, he's notch.
This kind of fluff piece should be relegated to post full release of the game, if ever. I mean, come on, SNOWMEN? Get the damn skills done before you do crap like this.

Now of we could only equip them with wooden swords (at most). At least it would give use for the swords beyond 5 minutes until one finds stone.
