Sounds like an adorable idea; the snwmana. I was reading in either jeb's or notch's twitter there should be an update that fixes some lighting bugs. I hope this includes residual light after breaking a glowstone or torch.

As a suggestion for streaming. How about Let's Plays of unreleased versions of minecraft? (An example would be streaming 1.9 now since 1.8 is already out). Perhaps showing you guys working on the future minecraft updates? Behind the scenes stuff? What you guys do when taking a break, stuff like that.
I think setting up the Snowman for use with a big hole, could draw wandering mobs into the pit. When they fall, they die. Then you go down and collect the goods. Just dig another whole on the inside of your house that is one of two blocks away, then add a door to the entrance. Easy mob farming. Granted, you'll have to rebuild them when daylight comes, but I think it'd be worth it.
As far as the steam goes. I think some let's play with the Mojang crew would be awesome. Maybe even a few of the more popular guys, such as Yogscast, if they'd be willing. Personally, I think watching someone write a bunch of code, would be boring. Watching someone work on the artwork, or maybe a weekly update stream, would be a better choice.

Personally I think this is an excellent idea. Seriously it's creative and unique and I can't wait to try out the snowman.
Notch created the creepers out of scratch and look how far they got. We don't need anymore games with the watered down recycled crap(such as trolls, goblins etc). Minecraft has the potential to be one of the best PC games of all time. If it keeps heading in this direction(with mushroom cows/pet snowman), this will be a trademark game of the ages(such as mario, portal, etc.)
It's amazing but I myself would re-skin the face, but the one it has now is great I just want it to be like" : D " And we should stream what goes on everyday at mojang cause so far all I have seen were to employees (notch and another I think) shooting each other with nerf guns and there was a shoe on the floor with nobody wearing it.
