So I put off playing again for 1.8 because of all the changes, making a new map is the only way to avoid world issues.. 1.8 is within days of release and now if you want biome changes 1.9 will require a new map. Well that's just lovely. Yes I understand its a beta but this is getting a bit stupid now. All of this was suppose to be in 1.7, thats fine now its suppose to be in 1.8... OK thats fine... now its split up half and half with 1.9... with something that major going into the later part of the 2 part patch.
Its being "advertised" as an adventure update as well yet the only thing really finished is creative mode. Seriously? Are you banging rocks together over there? :wink.gif:

I would accept this but;
1. You've friggin advertised it as NPCs, then you go off and change it.
2. This affects servers too, people PLANNED with their servers about mods and crap. >.>
3. I feel like your delaying it to bring MOAR attention to it. I might be wrong, but with an advertisement and everything then DELAYING it..

You're right it does have a lot of new stuff. That's fine and all but its getting to the point that anything that comes out of Mojang is changed. Don't forget this is all stuff that was suppose to be in 1.7. That's perfectly fine, they couldn't finish it all so they delayed it. 1.8 is then advertised as the adventure update, All the new stuff, new blocks, rivers, biome code, npc villages.. yes the list goes on and on. Well it's obviously not finished so now they are splitting it up into two parts 1.8 and 1.9 will finish it up.
While it has two parts to it if you want EVERYTHING to work properly in the adventure update as a whole anything you do in 1.8 is useless once 1.9 comes out now because the new biome code isn't finished. What's the point of having all this new stuff that would require you to start all over again when you have to start all over again in 1.9... patch to patch world wipes to function properly. Yeah that makes sense and we should all be so happy. If you think that is a great update then I question your logic.
Also yes Creative mode is back.. with new blocks!!! Well woopty doo, set game to peaceful, install a fly mod and toomanyitems and you have creative mode now. Again, your 1.8 creative mode is pointless once 1.9 hits if you want the new biome code.
Months to develop this and its still not complete the only thing that is complete however in their "Adventure" update is creative mode.
For... the 500th time saying this, you won't have to generate a new world, not even for 1.8. You just have to travel far out to where a place that you have never been before. UGH!
The sense of entitlement you people have here is absolutely stunning. Are you like this in person? Does the world owe you something? You paid your 20.00, now Notch is your *****? With all of the false outrage flying around here I am surprised Notch still cares what the community wants at all. Hats off to him for that.
