Although I can hardly wait for this update, I'm glad they're doing plenty of testing and such, in which case I have no problem at all with waiting.

Well, ok mr. mods. I admit zombes flymod is good an all, but certain mods make the game crash, and smps DONT HAVE DEM! (well, itll be amp now, wont it?) and somtimes its just nice to feel legit without mods an stuff.

and it's not true that 1.8 is crap. I bet 1/5 of the people here would get bored of miecraft if it didnt update every once an a while. and after he's delayed it so many times, even YOU gotta admit that deep down, you're exited for it. You would be kinda dissapointed if they didn't release it soon, after all those promises saying it'd be 'probably next week or so' and let us down countless times.

(I only mentioned the mods making game crash thing because TMI and Flymodd made my game crash no matter what)

Of course i would like to have npc in the villages. But i think having none in them will be kind of cool cause its creepy.

You know how you'll need to generate a new map for 1.8 to get all the new stuff? Yea, same thing will go for 1.9 as well.

So I have now made a minecraft forum account just so I could write my ideas after reading 15 pages of everyone else's.

Basically, I am extremely excited for this update, and have been for quite some time. I was disappointed to learn of the tentative release date moving to the 12th, but hey, you win some and you lose some.

Regarding the content of the update, I don't understand why everyone is so disappointed with the lack of use of the exp and the ghost villages. You'd rather be fighting for something you could have for free? And exp, you didn't have it before, so why are you so upset that it is currently useless? It's not like you're losing anything! You seem to be so angry at Notch and Jeb for including new blocks, foods, modes, and ways to play because you're not getting some things! I for one appreciate the game-changer offered by 1.8. I respect Notch and Jeb's work wholeheartedly, and while I am rather disappointed in the inconvenient Monday release date (high school, you damned establishment) I believe that if I can get home and enjoy fighting Endermen and eating chicken, it's worth it!

So get off your modded high-horses and take a chill. If by any chance anyone from Mojang is reading this, then I respect your work, and hope you can deliver the product ASAP.
That might be ridiculously long, and ridiculous to assume Mojang reads these, but hey, I'm new.

I'm fine as long as it's released within the next month.

I think Jeb is working hard... but I feel like money has gotten to Notch/Mojang's head. Minecraft is being updated very slowly... we've had nothing like the Halloween update yet, and I feel a bit more... effort, creativity, and Indie spunk could be put into this.

Notch just wants to make scrolls and forget about Minecraft... ugh.
