No, Notch said that there will be gigantic musrooms (brown too) and that is probably it.

It looks good but it doesn't have a need. It's good anyway though i guess. It's faster to travel by boat than walk.

I would assume that rivers what we see now are just randomly generated ponds and lakes in the shape of a river to a point. I think what they are getting at with this would be a more defined look to make rivers, rivers and to seperate them from lakes and ponds :biggrin.gif: i cant wait to make an underground tunnel underneath the river all the way down lol put glass in replacement of dirt so it looks cool and you can see up in the water, its time to d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-get creative

Mushrooms should be darker and have transparency like leaves. Otherwise great update, starting to look like a real place worth adventuring in more.

1.8 is going to be released after 28th, but who knows, maybe in October. Really long wait...

River update is awesome!

Did they ever actually say that they were mushrooms? Would be cool if it was an apple tree.

Ok, this is the most beautiful Minecraft landscape I have ever laid eyes on.
But, just one question. Is the water flowing? If so I will create a castle like bridge over the river and it will have a piston thing that will drop boats out onto the river.
