I'm hoping that you can switch quickly between adventure and creative modes, so that you don't have to start a new map and be stuck with just one mode.

Why? I prefer not making it too easy! Then you could just have creative mode on, get an awesome mansion in the sky, switch to survival and... what? There's nothing to work for.

I think the update will be soon, because Notch showed his livestream with many complete/almost complete things. I am sad that NPC's won't be in villages in 1.8, but at least the villages will. I hope Notch comes up with a way to make NPC's "move" into unoccupied villages...

Well if 1.7 maps won't update, will 1.8 maps update when 1.9 comes out?

Notch, release 1.8 now and fix later. It's beta for a reason. Like it or not, we are beta testers.

Not looking forward to hunger, experience, or sprinting.

I enjoy it because you cant just eat an apple to cure a injury but eating helps give nutrients to heal so it makes complete sense having a hunger bar

2 words - NOT UPDATING

1.8 features don't run on current pre-1.8 updates. So you need to make a new world to have the features work. You don't have to delete anything, just make a new one.

I think that the adventure update will be pretty sweet. I don't like the hunger bar though...

Man, does this mean adventure mode is in 1.9? I saw the PAX video as well (Notch is proud of the eating animation he said :P). I cant wait for 1.8, but im more pumped for 1.9 when that comes out in like november probably lol

If i didnt get my point clear, then i will explain, 1.8 WILL BE SO AWESOME

In creative mode there will be no damage :I

plus it is really easy to eat and regain health its called right clicking (usually when u have food in your hand which is EASY to get)
