For the last time 1.8 IS AN ADVENTURE UPDATE, not adventure MODE. The update will just add some new features to survival such as hunger, new mobs, and etc. This does not change survival mode to adventure mode so you trolls out there can stop trolling and actually think before you post.
its not gonna be that great a random gen village with out people in it makes it pointless i want quests! to go with the new combat element and some boss fights

I dont think I'll like the hunger but thats about it, I just dont spend much time hunting food, I run around in caves and mine, this will alter my play style so much, other than that I'm lookin forward to this!
