Depends on your computer settings, most people, like 95% of people, have it low enough that it won't happen, but people like you and me, who blast up their brightness and contrast can easily see that far in night. That's why they area adding the sliders.
i dont like this, why cant notch just focus on the multiplayer and not turn this into an rpg. Minecraft has always been different, and with this patch it gets closer to being just another game.
Because not everyone likes playing Multiplayer mode.

Yes, we know it's still going to be survival, but it'll never be the same anymore. Experience? That turns me off already. It better be implemented in a non-obtrusive and non-ability-earning way.

1.You can now find wild melon in worlds rarity unknown use unkown
2.pumpkins and melons will be growable by placing a pumpin/melon and a stem will grow
and a pumpkin/melon will spawn next to the placed pumpkin/melon
