noo i dont want rid of normal survival, cant we just have adventure, survival and creative?
BOTH of you Survival IS NOT missing its STILL there things such as food is an OPTION but DOES add more Survival game type then what we have currently which is a damn creative + Mobs.
I hope Mojang makes Hunger an optional gameplay mechanic. I do not look forward to having to find a pig every 20 minutes just because I'm virtually starving.

I've heard some people say minecraft is turning into an rpg, if you really think then you have obviously never played a rpg before. a rpg is about quests and choosing what to do and leveling up to get things like skill points and stuff like that. Minecraft has no quests and even though you choose what to do in minecraft its different from the rpg kind of choosing and although there is leveling its being done differently in minecraft.
but basically minecraft is not becoming an rpg
Personally, I'm somewhat happy that Notch split it into 2 parts, unhappy because it will take longer, but definitely more happy because it means that mojang can take a lot more time to develop the new features for 1.9, and also it will allow them to better deal with the bug fixes.
You can tell it's going to take long for it to be released. They haven't even added NPC's to their villages yet. Jeb tweeted that they're trying to get them to work.

Pax was great, to bad today was the last day. Lots of people selling things like counterfeit tickets and such. Today there was tons of people with things like creeper hats and more Minecraft inspired items.
