Well if it's just a regular sand block. Then my thoughts about that really small thing in front of the sun is still strange. It looks too tall to be a dead shrub. Can anyone give their insight what it is?
no... its just a shrub

PCG: SORRY.
It's not a pressure plate it's too close to the view if you compare pixel sizes from the left and right. Also how is sand supposed to be a solid plate?
The lock juts out of the chest. Lockable chests then? Look closely at the chest and you'll see it. I guess putting something right in front of someones face to fool them with it does work.

It isn't a question of 'Why?', it is a question of 'Why NOT!?!'.
I don't know if the sunlight coloration is the "second thing", but it is absolutely different from current Minecraft. As it is now, the sky turns orange at sunrise/sunset, but the actual light emitted from it is still perfectly neutral. In this screenshot, EVERYTHING is tinted orange due to the light. This means that the game will now have the technology for different objects (like redstone torches, jack o lanterns, lightstone) to emit different colored light, which is currently not the case.
As for the sand block in the foreground... It is perfectly level (after you adjust for perspective), 1 meter above the surrounding sand, placed correctly in x/z coordinates, and OBVIOUSLY JUST A BLOCK OF SAND, sitting there doing nothing. If you put a straight-edge up to any of the lines between pixels on that block, they all line up with the lines of perspective of every other block, despite the fact that the camera is NOT oriented directly along the East/west line. All of you people who, against all visual logic, think that it is being carried, are very sadly mistaken.
