If there's no old true old world compatibility I will not upgrade until someone's written a nostalgia mod. I think I recall hearing (in the stream, even!) that you can still load and play old worlds though, to an extent.

I think I would just copy my main area of my world with mcedit and then paste it into a new world lol :biggrin.gif:
That way least I still got all my buildings and stuff. Of course it would be annoying but oh well

I think, from watching the video at 10:40, he means the biomes, rivers and dungeons won't show up until you see new chunks. but the saves will be compatible. phew.
notch said that the worlds work what i didnt understand was other tingh but yeah forget it .. i probably shouldn't be playing minecraft until 1.8 comes.. when 1.8 comes i probably create a new world same seed and go to the place i was (i hope that will be possible <<' )

but we already have infinite power, a "solar" panel would just be a redstone torch that goes out at night,wich, might have some uses now that I think about it.

There would be so many possibilities with solar panels.
Hook it up to a inverter and a door and you got a building that you can only access by night.
