Now that you mentioned it, how about some spider? Aren't they full of protein to or is that just bugs? I wouldn't touch zombie meat though. If the thought of meat coming from Zombie Pigmen sounds disgusting, try zombies.

Look under the inventory u can see some interesting things too. Looks like a sprint bar under the hearts, but what was that on the right where the armor goes? He wasn't wearing armor, but some indicator was there!
According to MC Wiki, the bright meat is the new cooked pork, while the one beside the raw beef is now the cooked beef or steak. Makes sense. Porkchop does look brighter and less pinkish when cooked.
I wish they're also adding new food recipes. Perhaps a hamburger? (bread + steak + bread = awesome)
