Ya Know Guys, We should add better updates like if u fall more than 20 blocks ur guy screams, or dual wield option, or an ingame obsidian tools thingy. and we should add a holdable torch. . OH AND WE SHOULD ADD AFEW NEW MOBS. . AND THE SILVAHFISH U WERE TRYING TO MAKE, THE THINGY THAT EATS TEH WOOD.
I hope the NPC' will have something as to trading.
such as being able to turn gold into coins maybe? a little more of a use I say.
With the torch in one hand sword in other, Perhaps shields? I hope to allow chainmail to be made w/o fire as well.
There is a chance that you will actually be able to hold a lit torch, that's if Notch intends to do the same as in the Adventure Craft mod. I for one am tired of having to switch to my torches place one down then back to the sword every time i'm exploring caves, being able to hold a lit torch and a sword at the same time would help me a lot! Definitely loving the updates and the picture!
BEST UPDATE EVER AND KEEP THE WORK UP NOTCH! Ever since 1.3 i'v wanted you to make it so we can have a sword and torch!!! Just wondering does the torch lights up the area around you?????
Like others, I hope we can turn off NPC Villages (maybe as an option when creating a new world).
I also really hope that they won't make switches programmable (mentioned last year, but I don't know if anything happened over the year) and change the use of redstone.. I keep playing Minecraft a lot because of mostly the Redstone ciruits I can make, hopefully they won't remove thr challenge of wiring up mechasims..
Can we go into the villages, and secretly plant TNT EVERYWHERE!!!!!
Turn the Village into a crater, Run away. Snipe a Chicken.
Drop into a dungeon drop the Brightness level to 0, on Hard
-Die

* NPC Villages
Ok, I agree that these could easily make the game absolutely horrible, but they are also capable of making it into something even better! I realty hope that they are done with pigmen, this would also give Notch an excuse for a relatively simple AI (and it would let you people feel lonely). Also, I do agree that there should be some way to disable the villages, for those who don't want them. I would really hope that they are not like that one screenshot in that they are bland and life-less, I believe that each one should have a place designated as town center, and be different based on the biome of the town center, for example, one with a tundra center would have igloos, one with a rainforest center would have tree houses, and a one with a desert center could have tents or pyramids. Also, would people please stop saying that this would make the game to RPG-ish, All its saying is that you can find some random people(not necessarily human people)living in houses, with some stuff in their chests and maybe a shop you can go to! (probably not, considering Notch thought coloring light that went through colored glass(or something like that) and that dynamic light was not possible)
* Randomly generated dungeons
These are also kind of prone to becoming horrible blunders, but again, have enormous potential. I would really love if they were made similarly to the MCdungeon tool, but with more variations, like styles based on blocks and such around the entrance (even if they are just pallete swaps of each other) , such as a flooded dungeon with a lot of water that replaces all prize buckets with water buckets, a frozen dungeon that features a lot of ice and snow, or a desert dungeon that features sand traps and sandstone.
* New biome code
Honestly, I have no idea of what this might be like! I can only hope that notch goes insane and adds the other half of the square to the biomes (biomes can't have low temp and high moisture), doubling the possible biomes.
I would also hope he adds more biomes in the existing half of the square like a volcanically active zone, expands biome size, or refines current biomes by doing things like making some mud block (just a retexture and alternate data value of soulsand)that appears in swamps and making more nice trees, like palm or tall rainforest ones.
* Fully functioning Creative mode (with Creative-type access to server mods/admins)
This kind of worries me, I say you should be able to choose if someone can use creative mode, but with a separate list from ops and such.
* Critical hits
I really would not think that this would make it to RPG-ish, its a nice touch, but one I could live without, I just hope he does not make this so that it is based on a skill level, levels could ruin the game if done wrong, but the current game and MCmmo did it right, you can upgrade specific tools/skills, you don't have to do what you don't want to do. I say it should just be a constant chance of dealing 2-5x damage.
* Sprinting
Basically, I have the same things to say about this as I did for the critical hits, thought I think it should be 1.5x or 1.75x speed, and only for like 30 seconds (which would be more like 30 minutes in minecraft time), I find 2x too fast.
* More farming options
Okay, this has way to much potential! I say Notch should add only about 2-4 plants, though, more could get hectic! I know he will probably allow the growing of cocoa beans (I hope he adds chocolate, too!). I also think he should add grass seeds, somehow, and growing moss on cobble and such. I would really love if he added vines, they would act like ladders, but would hang, needing a support above instead of on the side, and would be automatically shift down if you place the vine onto another vine, and would make a new section if placed onto a block. Obviously, vines would grow from trees in the rainforest or maybe from well lit mossy cobblestone. I also would love coral reefs, that slowly spread like mushrooms.
* Brightness slider
Stop whining about this, those of you who are concerned about it, this will likely just change the brightness of say, light level 0, to the appearance of light level 1! This is just one of those things for people who can't be bothered to change the brightness setting on their monitor every time the go in and out of minecraft!
Also, I really wonder why notch doesn't just take a mod, download it, tweak it slightly, and put it out as the next version, it is easy and everybody gets happy(unless the mod maker is just that kind of person who wouldn't be)! One mod we would all love as part of the official minecraft would be Mo' Creatures.
I really hope I didn't forget anything!

But otherwise, it sounds cool.
