leveling - sounds dumb and pointless, i hope to god there is a setting to disable this
permadeath - sounds interesting would love to see how this plays out
hunger - interesting idea, but needs to only be on hardcore modes (or applicable by settings in server.properties)
In all honesty, kinda interesting to see but some are just pointless (leveling is so stupid, we dont want a MMO version like WOW thanks) but i am looking forward for hunger and permadeath
that's cool, but they better split up the game modes like originally intended, Adventure Mode and Survival mode. going to be so ****ing pissed if i lose all my items that i've been collecting for so long.
Man up, people. Permadeath has always only been an option in games (except pure roguelike games), it can be a LOT of fun if you actually try to get into it. However if you are too much of a coward to touch hardcore mode / permadeath, don't rant against it, it will be a toggle if it's implemented.
I really hope permadeath doesn't mean what I think it means. I also hope that experience doesn't affect your ability to use certain tools. Weapons, fine, but tools seems like it's going overboard.

I agree that permadeath should only be on Hardcore. The EXP will be a nice way to do scoring on adventure maps though... So you have hidden EXP orbs that you find from doing puzzles and whatnot. This will be really fun!

People are funny. Even a five-year-old knows how to spend money, but there’s plenty of adults who don’t know how to earn it. They feel better handing over money than bowing their head and taking it. They go on and on about how the customer’s always right, always the winner but isn’t that supposed to be how the seller feels, not them? But if everyone’s spending, who’s left to provide the service? I think a society where people prefer earning to spending is a healthier one.

Anyone who knows anything about the Adventure mode should understand it is just that.. a SEPARATE GAME MODE. THIS WILL NOT AFFECT ALL YOUR SAVES
It is a separate game mode, just like survival is serpate from creative or classic. Do you think everyone that played creative started to complain like "OMG Notch you're adding health? What? Mobs? THIS IS MADNESS!" "Minecraft isn't a RPG! Don't add crafting and monsters this is dumb! PETITION AGAINST IT!!"
Of course not... this is just a different direction. The hunger and experience/leveling will probably be a part of the "Hardcore" or "Realistic Modes" that may include Perma-death. So please stop your senseless complaints about "OMG WE NEED TO MOD THIS OUT"... It's OBVIOUSLY going to be a separate mode, so just calm down kids!!
