really, not only is that completely ridiculous and uncalled for, but how often do any of those so called petitions even work, let alone have a percentage over 50% of people that signed the petition honor the petition...
but as always, i have faith in 's vision for minecraft, and still cant wait for this update...
Yes, it's okay for people to be afraid of the dark, but this really isn't like that. It's only dark because some people just freak out rather than flip the light-switch right outside. I mean two minutes of reading the article and the last full page of posts would clear up at least 70% of the misunderstandings.
I agree that a lot of people are being real foreseers of doom. Mojang has been keeping this update pretty secretive and a lot of people are making wild assumptions and ***** about things they don't even know yet. It's okay to be kind of worried though, you shouldn't just blindly put your unwavering trust into Notch and the others. I didn't mean to be telling people to keep freaking the **** out though.

they need to have hardcore mode and survival mode hardcore is permadeath and huger and survival is just huger. that is what i think should happen. i hope notch takes this in to consideration
so nobody cares about my opinion but they say there's preemptively. of course, everyone hates the normal person.
I AGREE WITH ENDER, and stop trying to shut him up! people have there own apinion. people also dident read the full page, thus PANICING because of thinking that perma-death is a permanant unchangable feature to the whole game! ender is just trying to inform the less - informed. in my apinion, in a way reading a post,coment,forum, is like reading a contract. if you dont read all of it, you could say,do,or sign something you might regret. in other words people, use you're brains, they exist for a reason.
I am ok with perma-death as long as it only effects skills and inventory. After you perma-die you have to start over, I can see that, this is a survival game. As long as the chances of perma-dying is very low for those of us that choose not to do the whole rpg thing.
Since levels are set to 0 when you die, I really hope this provides some options in SMP... For example, you die, and then you respawn with some modifier, like if I died for the first time I would be Scynscatha the 2nd or some such. Just a thought
And another point on this: PERMA DEATH IS NOT WORLD DELETION READ THE FECKING ARTICLE BEFORE FLYING OFF YOUR ****
Also, (and I made this point before) if you don't like leveling or towns or stuff just don't do it!!! While you will probably level up no matter what you do you don't have to work with towns or the dungeons! It's still optional! So stop complaining about how minecraft is turning into an MMO!!!!!!

The perma-death sounds repulsive.
A toggle sounds appetizing.
the normal game mode will still be out there
its singleplayer, multiplayer, and advnture
