This would actually be pretty cool to see in a custom map, where you would have to collect the block (diamond, whatever) in order to get through a path or something.. I know it probably doesn't make much sense, just an idea though.
Easier way to reset, just have the pushing forward piston sticky, then when it comes to replacing the block, just put it in the space and reset the circuit.
