The fix for multiplayer didn't work extreme regionalized server side lag is still present. You can't enter a bed in multiplayer anymore and there are allot of other random bugs.
k multiplayer works again as of 1.6.5 but there are still the host of bugs that where introduced in the useless (nothing was fixed despite the intention of the updates) updates 1.6.2 and 1.6.4 that i think could and should be fixed. Anyway, I like the new additions to 1.6 but the random bug problem has me concerned. If Mojang could announce when they are done with 1.6 updates so we can start coding patches and updating mods that would be helpful as well.
um... could anyone post a minecraft.jar file for 1.5_02? All other things are scam searches.

Notch doesn't know the software lifecycle very well, either. When a program is in beta, added features should be kept to a minimum and there should be more focus on fixing the existing bugs, but instead he adds new features that break the game for people in practically every major update.

Okay guys, when I log in, I get the mojang screen and the I get the minecraft menu background, (the one that kinda looks like leather(, and then nothing. no buttons, I can't do anything. :sad.gif: Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I have no mods installed.
Also, is MInecraft supposed to update automatically? I had no choice whether to update :sad.gif: . is there any way I can bget the old version back? short of piracy, of course.
Personally, i would like if notch implemented iron trapdoors (that cant be opened by clicking) and if trapdoors opened to the bottom of the block there on (so they don't stick out of the floor either, making the whole "trapdoor" more sinister), this would mean we could make floodgates and other contraptions disrupting water flow!!
I hate seeds only from tall grass. im on a map called Survival island, and it has no tall grass, this is like ruining the game for me. There needs to be ways to get seeds w/o tall grass, cuz thatz just annoying and nto cool. I love the maps tho! And the trap doors

There is no single set software life cycle. There are a lot of software development models out there, and a quite a few different ones that are practiced by major software developers. Saying there is only one way to do it is flat out wrong, and defining Beta in one way is even more wrong.
