Is lighting not working for anyone else? Areas are very, very dark. And torches do nothing to help light the place up.
Its a tad bit dark in the real world, but its very noticeably dark in the nether even with the torches. At first i thought it was just how the nether looked since its so dark. The only way to fix (only temp) is to plant the torches and rejoin the game
Beta testing is a general term for the second stage of development testing concerning the more superficial features often including testers to find these.
By all means, the moment you start charging money you start carrying responsibility. Not a tag in the world changes that.
Good luck getting that to stand up in a court of law.
Go ahead. Try it. Try to sue Mojang for breaking the game you paid for. Make sure you have a copy of the license you agreed to (you know, that thing you didn't read but checked the box that said "I read this"), because the judge is going to ask for it. And then he's going to read it and laugh you straight out of the court. And make you pay all of the court costs.
Or hey, try playing World of WarCraft, use a hack, get your account banned, and complain about it because you paid money to play. See where that gets you.
Like I said before. Only real gamers... or at least people with a brain... should be allowed to Beta test.
Right here guys. If you want to change the meaning of "beta testing" to include the sale of incomplete software, go right ahead, nobody is stopping you.
But the iron rule of consumerism for hundreds of years has been that if you charge money for a product or service, you are responsible for it. In the same way that you can't sue a passing doctor who treats you in an emergency for free, you can't accuse a company with a free product of incompetence or fraud.
If the product isn't free... if you, as we have, paid for it, it's open season.
I am not, of course, suggesting suing Mojang over a crappy patch. I am telling you you're insane if you think we can't or shouldn't complain or voice an (negative) opinion over a change we don't like.
How is that changing the meaning when it's a loosely and multiple defined term already? I would love to see this rule book where you guys are getting the hard definition of "beta testing."
1.6 has its ups and its downs love the wild grass and hatches dont love the map and the broken mods but oh well and dont play smp so cant love or hate the smp nether
Did you know the Creeper's model is actually based of a glitched pig model? I guess Notch had better remove Creepers from the game next! NO BUGS ALLOWED, EVEN IF THEY MAKE THE GAME MORE FUN!

I first heard the term "beta test" when I beta tested Starcraft: Brood War back in 1999. (You were supposed to be 18; I lied.)
Since then I have never once heard of a company, reputable or otherwise, charging for a beta test, up to and including the beta testing for Halo: Reach and Starcraft II.
So no, there is no rulebook that says it has to be free. But if you've never seen a car without wheels and never heard of a car that doesn't have wheels, you can safely say "cars have wheels".
Suddenly you get run over by a car with tank treads, and you've got some dude hanging out the hatch, spitting on you and yelling "where's the rulebook, faggot!" you pretty much have the right to be angry.
Found another bug on 1.6.4. If you use any tool (Damaged)
Then you drop it on the floor(Press Q)
Pick the tool up.
Right click on any block
The tool disappears.

Am I doing something wrong or is it because of the texture pack?

Yes yes yes
And where is this from? Will be nice if he fixes some of the bugs, wonder what bugs will be fixed :biggrin.gif: hopefully the server loading one.

It is.. But when I joined a 1.6.4 server it happened :biggrin.gif:.
With an updated client.
1 minor thing I noticed is that the tall grass feature won't appear - existing map, multiplayer
1 more important issue: Carts won't push each other. Either stop or go right thru.
I appreciate they fixed the bugs, under a short time period!
