Yeah, they should be a half block thicker. if it extends the way it is now it should only extend like a half a block cuz of the stationary block thickness...I hope someone understands what I mean, lol.

Slimes appear all the time.... Try making an underground base or mini-settlement at like 6 elevation, you will be over-ridden with slimes in no time. :wink.gif:
I see a lot of people saying that the main problems with this is that they are too thin looking in the pump part, have overused textures, are disappointing, and we should just stick to the mod. I disagree with all of this. If you watch the video by Mojang, the pistons look unbelievably powerful. They may have a thin looking pump, but I think it looks good. Let's not forget that we can still retexture the blocks to anything. Now, chances are, you can change the texture of the piston to a more iron-block like look anyway. The biggest disappointment people have is with launching. I don't think that that matters. I have already come up with a concept for piston elevators with or without launching. Seriously guys, I think that we should really trust that a game designer knows what he's doing.

This would seem like a problem with texture packs at first, but I can easily see how they did it, and the textures use for this would fit nicely within three texture block slots. The top of it would be one, the bottom of it would be on, and when it's closed, the texture for the side would fit. Then the texure for the inside part would be taken for the top of the side texture, then flipped sideways. I like it
the design's really cool, making it thicker would cause problems with the placement if you ask me, but thats just my opinion, i hope 1.7 comes out soon. I already jumping with excitement
@ TakaNuva231 how would making the stem (the part between the plate and the outer casing) thicker cause problems? it would look like the one from the mod but with a more minecrafty texture.

The only copyright is mojang's to minecraft. All modders are subject to having their stuff put in the vanilla game by mojang.
