@ryansminecraft you know... I think they're going to have to be more inventive with how slimes spawn now... knowing Notch he'll tweak them somehow so we can get more than 2 slimeballs a month.
Maybe Powered Rails or something could be crafted with a piston or something to give it an extra "push", launching blocks, mobs higher or pushing em out farther.
SWEET!!! actually cannot wait!
plus will there be anywhere we can find instructions for those secret doors???
Google, YouTube, the Minecraft Wiki, these forums. Yeah, I don't think you will be at a shortage in terms of "help resources" to get instructions including step by step instructions on how to build those doors.
In fact, I would venture to suggest most players will be sick of those videos and forum postings before long. I very nearly am already and this hasn't even been released yet.
I bet he will add flying transportation metod, in a next update.
Jeb, in his talk over the past weekend, said not just no but (more or less paraphrasing) "Hell No!"
I think that pretty much spells out his thinking on the topic. His concern, after he talked it over with Notch, was that such devices or even flying mounts (like flying on a dragon.... a prototype was in the presentation as a potential new mob) was something that took up too much CPU bandwidth and significantly impacted players on less than stellar hardware. Furthermore, as bad as it is for SSP, SMP was even worse with the impact to the point of almost unplayability. Yes, I know that there is a multi-player airplane mod available and is in current use, but perhaps that is explicitly where he gets his statistical data from and rationale for why it shouldn't be used.
I'm not saying that I agree with his thinking 100% and I do think some things could happen to mitigate the issue to an extent, but he does raise some valid points. Minecraft would have to be re-written on a fundamental level to get something of that nature to work for everybody. The worst aspect that seems to be the real killer here is the world generation that would have to happen when players go off of the already existing map.
я не одобряю
кто-то уже сделал поршня мод, который имеет поршни глядя, как железо блоки не общего камня и дерева, я думаю, ваша версия плохо просто говорю, не в обиду
Well since when has minecraft been, in the slightest, physically possible? Look at the ocean! if you were to break a block blocking the ocean from a canyon the canyon wouldnt even nearly flood.
This will make it so much better for minecarts! :laugh.gif:
Yeah, so much better for minecarts.... assuming that the things even work in 1.7. They are so broken in 1.6 as to be essentially unusable. You can't push more than one in a east-west direction (really odd bug there) or use powered minecarts (a minecart with a furnace) for the same reason. We'll see if this ever gets fixed.
