what happens if one is put in a ring of fire will they try walk through the fire?
on a seprate note they are designed to be stupid and be taken care of.
intelegence on their part would allow you to do less in the game, as it is a village will happly feed you in order to protect them.
so i think they are fine the way they are tho i do wish there was a better way to "aquire" new testificuites as their rate of decline can be quite dramatic
Place two command blocks: one with /give @e[type=Villager,r=5] emerald 64 and one with /summon Creeper ~ ~1 ~ {ExplosionRadius:100,ignited:1,Fuse:20} and a pressureplate near each. What will they step on?

What should I put into my signature? Quotes? Images? URLs? Random Texts? I don't know. So I won't put anything into my signature. Bye.
I suggest that, in the face of science, you should make the villagers go through rigorous activities such as parkour and spleef. Also, survival games.
I think so too, but how would the villagers play Spleef? I think maybe you could gather some creepers in the village, and see what happens. Also, if you're up to the challenge, make some Nether portals and see if they wander through. And, if so, what do they do in the Nether?

They'll probably just sit there and get blown up by ghasts and eaten by zombie pigmen.
In my studies as a historian, I can confirm that eons ago, the villagers were a great and powerful people skilled in the fields of magic, literature, and warfare. Their now-extinct language can still be seen in ancient tomes and on enchanting tables. It appears that there were several factions that lived in different biomes and built temples for different deities. It is unknown what happened to these ancient tribes. I will continue to research this matter in hopes of finding out.

Is there a possibility that I, a simple Minecrafter, can learn about these people? And where did you get your information?

Now I am realizing just HOW lost villagers are. Even though they are "dumb", we have to give them credit for actually being able to build a town. The only downside of their home is that they don't fight the zombies, but cower in fear of them.....
Wow, I love this. I never really took the time to help out villagers. I usually end up killing them all, then respawning them because I get lonely. But it is funny how you "ear tagged" them-I love the name Marv.
EDIT: I also like the idea of studying them. I never actually did! I did realize the strange writing under the numbers in the enchanting table...is it possible they can write with hieroglyphics?
wow bye.

I would like to see some evidence to support this hypothesis.

I would like this to be tested first.

Test them in these situations:
Raining
One zombie on their tale
Multiple zombies on their tale
Multiple Villagers
