Re: coarse dirt: if it's a replacement for "grassless" dirt then why bother adding in a new block? Isn't it just a texture change at this point?
The coarse dirt actually exists in 1.7 in savannahs but can not be obtained (even with Silk Touch), while in 1.8 it will be both obtainable and craftable with normal dirt and gravel. So you could say "coarse dirt" was already a thing, MogMiner just gave it a texture and some mechanic changes.
When harvested with Silk Touch enchantment they drop blocks with corresponding mushroom texture (red or brown) on all sides rather than the one with spores

stairs are different in the menu and they don't seem to do corners properly anymore, border blocks are realy glitchy, im pretty sure this is a bug with textures
I personally think this is Mojang taking a step in the right direction FOR ONCE. I mean, Oceans just got some attention, and Sponges now have a use. This proves Mojang DOES have at least one employee with a brain.
Guys, try on a hat with Respiration on it! I don't know if this was added before, but it gives instant better sight.. though you still need night vision.. :l

I'm pretty sure it's helmet only, i watched docm77's video and he said so. Either that or you can only enchant the helmets, but it still works on others. We should find out...
It is for boots. Wiki says so, personal experiance says so, that guy said so. So it is so.

Ever had something (or somebody) on your railroad that you did not want there?
I saw a few other people say this, but holy fps...My pc isn't a beast but it certaintly is plenty for Minecraft; I usually get over 100 fps on far 16 render distance, but with this snapshot i had to turn it down to 3 for it to even be playable at ~25 fps.
All I saw when trying it out again is details and texture being taken away, and things like rails and ladders going fuzzy. Guess I just don't get how it's supposed to look better.

its a bucket fill in-depth commentary on modern consumerism's over-exploitation of positive human emotion via minimalistic figures seated in a retro-aesthetic.
It's "jum bo dee es six tee for", NOT "jum bods six tee for" or "jum bo dee es six for". What the heck is a jumbod, anyway?
The new mob is the guardian of the filing room at the Central Bureaucracy on Futurama! Personally, I would have just ripped-off Zoidberg... whoop whoop whoop whoop! *scuttles away*
when you cook a sponge, if you put a bucket in after it cooks and the fuel gauge goes to 0, you get a water bucket back.
per wiki, since I don't care for the "secret stuff" changelog that goes up in the news section.
I just go to the wiki by default when I see a snapshot up now.

Honestly, I think it's nicer now. Ironically, the holes kinda stuck out before. 'Sides, if you don't like it, you could make a quick resource pack.
