jespertheend - already well known for elaborate puzzle maps - has come up with a particularly ingenious game-within-a-game, using a staggering combination of command blocks and wiring that I can't even pretend to understand! Mario's enemies act much as they should, coin blocks dispense rewards when hit from below, and...well, jesper explains it fairly well!
Of course, you don't have to limit yourself to merely WATCHING Super Mario Bros in Minecraft, you can get the map, resource packs, and more, by ! Keep in mind, this map currently (as of this writing) requires Snapshot 14w18b or higher to run!
Well that's cool and all, but I personally won't be playing it, as I can play the actual thing. This is still amazing nevertheless, and I am quite impressed by the amount of effort and possibilities possessed by these 'command blocks', and the people that sit down, figure out all of these mechanics, and create such amazing little projects.
