Japan is a small island with LOTS of people. It wouldnt work. Australia is far off from most of us. It wouldnt work. Canada, is really nice, ive been there, (I know Australia is too, but its far off, as I said). Canada is big, not overpopulated either. It would be very nice also, because its a great tourism spot. Alsooo.... Most people who have Minecraft live in America, Canada, or Europe. So its smart to have it in North america or Europe.
it should be in the mall of america in minealpolis as it is in north central USA so all can reach it and it still has a nice white scene for the winter
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
this has been icefox and as always have some fun out there
Australia would be good. I don't think it should be held in Asia as they're not in to Minecraft as much. I think Brazil is too dangerous to hold a Minecraft convention (especially as there will be lots of children going to MineCon and Brazil has a problem with child prostitution and other crime, I've read). Africa wouldn't be as good, as I'm pretty sure they don't really have a gaming community and lots of people would have to be vaccinated and stuff first. Canada would also be a good place.
I think that the next one should be either in Canada, New Zealand, Australia or somewhere in Europe (like England, Germany, Switzerland or Sweden).
In Brazil there are lots of places that are safe but there are cities like Sao Paulo that wouldnt be great. Other places like Pocos de Caldas would be nice. Also, lots of people say that you need vacines and stuff, but that`s only if you are going to the rain forest. I dont know about Rio de Janero though, it is famous but dangerous. Especially in the outskirts there are police officers in gunfights with gangsters and poor. Only in Rio though. If you consider other places brasil is an OK place to hold minecon. I vote Canada or US.
Well, Mojang will hold it where official polls say, where most sales come from, most fan mail comes from, and where most fans are located. That is the U.S. They want to place it where the most people can go to. Probably in west or east North America, or lower Canada. Somewhere where a lot of fans can gather. And, you need a passport to get to Australia or Japan (love that place). Even though you need one here, it is easier here. And it isnt as expensive. The U.S. is really awesome. They have huge canyons, epic super volcanoes, amazing beaches, the whole package of the rest of the world. Seriously. Nothing against any other place, but U.S.A. is the most convinent.
it should be in Australia because it has been in america before so a lot of people from Canada and the U.S have already been so it should be in Australians get a chance to go to MineCon without spending thousands of dollars

? Please fix your English, dude, I can hardly comprehend that.
Also, Australia is very icolated (Aside from ONE country) meaning that Australia has the advantage, but it's crazy expensive for EVERYONE else. If we put it in Canada, it'll be good for the United States of America,
Anyone taking developer cost to the facts? I think the SOuthern Hemisphere might be too expensive (Holding copyright and making games plus updating cost cash, ya know!) so that is why I go with Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (VOted in poll.)

Hmmm... That's very interesting! Mojang has a cash limit TOO! So it doesn't just depend on how far away everything is from other Crafters, but for Mojang as well!
I think Toronto would be a great location, it's close to the US Border, so easy for US & Canadian citizens, but then its bad for the other side of the world, works both ways. Plus I live close to Toronto
Finally, a minecon 2013 thread suggesting Australia instead of Europe and America. It would be nice if it would be in Australia, but I suppose Canada would be ok too, as it will be easier to get to and the Americans wouldn't whine as much on the forums.

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
Minecon should be on a schedule, so no one misses out, but Australia would be nice since it would only be an hours drive from where I live, and from what I've heard, it hasn't been in Australia so there you go.
Australia is relatively cheaper than most places, and really the most populated area's are NSW, QLD and VIC, if it was held in New South Whales it might be more expensive than Queensland but Australia is cheap for the US at the moment and most MC's come from The US, Canada, England, Australia and some from japan
I'm pretty sure the most players are in the U.S. and it should come back to the U.S. next year. But this time around, it should be in a big city like L.A., Chicago, or New York. Or if Mojang wants to keep up on their Disney desires, Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California(but that's not as big).
No your being stupid they wouldnt do that its already been In a big city there. They want to go around the world for the good places. Its Going to be Sydney, Because some people think theres very little people around their, implying its little chance in being there. Its not.
Sydney is the most populated city in Australia. And also including the surrounding areas. Meaning That theres a better chance of more Minecrafters.
