I was wondering if you guys would be holding another minecon soon in North America, see I love minecraft just as much as the next player and I would love to go to minecon at some point but the problem is I don't have the money or passport to travel to another country for it so I was wondering if there would be a year you guys would come back to North America or do a separate minecon some time
1. It's nearby where I live (I live in the U.S), so I don't have to worry about that.
2. People will speak English, so I don't have to worry about being depressed cause I don't speak Japanese.
3. If we did Aussy, I'd not go and I've never been ,so it'd be fun for me to finally go
Vancouver, British Columbia is even closer to the United States border. We drive over to buy gas and eggs!
Vancouver is my hometown and it seems to me that everybody is playing Minecraft. I once flew to Toronto directly from Vancouver and some passengers were playing PE while we taxied!
It would be pretty awesome if Minecon 2013 were held at BC Place. BC Place is a big place with lots of room to set up booths and a stage!
IMHO Vancouver is the best place to hold Minecon 2013. Close to the border, lots of people playing Minecraft, and a multicultural population. We have a relatively good computer-drivin transit system too.

My family doesnt get too much money, I could never afford plane tickets to anywhere else, I live in Winnipeg MB Canda, so if it was Toronto, I would beable to afford tickets and if not, DRIVE! I hope it is somewhere in Canada, but thats very unlikely :/
im just sort of throwing this out there san diego would be a good place and im talking about holding it in the conventions center it'll be alot of space and plus its close to me about a 8 hour drive
Montevideo, Uruguay.
I know that's impossible, but it would be the best if Minecon is on South America.
We have a very very big community here that plays Minecraft and we love it.
I said Uruguay because I'm from Uruguay and I'm 14 so I can't travel to another country to be in the Minecon, but Brasil would be nice even I can't go.
It's just a simple dream that will never happen =(
Well you see, the question is, will Minecon ever be in Australia? if so why not have it in 2013, secondly so what the majority of kids in US and Canada cant come, majority of kids in Aus couldn't come the past 2 times. Also as someone posted previously, Minecon is a weekend activity... well most of minecraft's fans are kids, so its smart to hold the advent during the holidays (6 weeks in most places), which coincides with Christmas and summer. So tourists can also enjoy the sun and the beaches.
I don't see this as having much of an effect on where it is held, but I'd say Australia, and not just because I live there. It's already been in the Northern Hemisphere twice now, and it makes it very difficult for anyone in the Southern hemisphere to go. So I think giving the Southern hemisphere a better chance at going is well due.
I agree with serge and say that Australia looks like a good choice, Tokyo doesn't really have a large number of players and I would let it grow till they have lots of players. Australia has always been a tourist hub and will not just attract the players but also the family might like to go on a holiday to Australia and duck along to Minecon on the way. Toronto is great but I think that the only the people in Toronto will go and no one really wants to visit it, so I think Australia!
I want Minecon 2013 either in London, England or Toronto, Canada. However, all of us haven't thought about TIME. I know I mentioned this before earlier but we need to start talking about that. I think summer would be a great time. If it will be in November then many people won't be able to come because of school and also its a waste of money to travel at least halfway around the world to skip school and go to Minecon.
To be specific, I'd like Minecon 2013 to be in Toronto, Canada in August. But that would cost me a lot of money. Oh well. I've have only been once in Canada when I was 5 months old. Anyways I think Canada might be a good place.
Location: Toronto, Canada
Time: August or December.
I really like that MIneCon could be in Toronto. IF ever it isn't, they should have it during the summer so more people would have the time to travel there. Who would go on a 1 night vacation to Sydney and spend 1000$? They should really consider having a MInecon in the Americas in the near future...
