I understand that we are playing the Xbox version of Minecraft but why does that mean it has to be so watered-down? MCXOne edition's audio options are Extremely Limiting. As it is on PC now, their options for music and sounds are:
Master Volume
Music
Weather
Hostile Creatures
Players
Jukebox/Noteblocks
Blocks
Passive Creatures
Ambient/Environment
The Xbox One edition consists of:
Music
Sounds
We have very little control to these settings. It's an "all or nothing" scenerio and that's a bit upsetting. I don't know about the rest of you but when you hear a constant loop of the same music over and over and over it gets a tad repetitive. I love C418's work but even he would agree.
"Well just turn off the music." That's the problem with the current version of MCXone; By turning down the music, I give up my noteblock sounds, my jukebox music, and my ambient sounds. I don't want to sacrifice all that just because it's all classified under Music. Say I want to turn down Hostile Creature sounds so Ghasts aren't as loud. In doing so I've now turned down weather, walking/running, environmental sounds, Passive Creatures, breaking block sound effects and more. For such an open and expansive game such as this filled with music and sounds, the options we have just doesn't do it justice for having only two settings - Music and Sound.
So what I would like to see - and suggest!- is that the audio options are overhauled to match that of what PC has. It only makes sense that way. Ambient sounds, noteblocks, and jukeboxes should not be classified under one setting. Also, Hostile Creatures, Passive Creatures, Players, Weather, and blocks should not all be categorized together in one option either. Give all Music and Sounds their own respective options, allowing us to personalize our settings. Thanks for reading and please share your thoughts.
I agree with all of this also. It would be nice to have all these options on console. I've also noticed that game sounds are a bit low meaning you can hear music loud but if you open a chest its really quiet. I'm comparing all this to the 360 version

Have anyone else noticed how much louder the new music that has been added on the Xbox One edition is, it is twice as loud as the old 360 version music that has been carried over. If an old song is playing when I set my volume when a new song comes on, it blasts me out of the room. Wish they would balance the old and new music levels, allow us to control the volume for each song, or disable the new songs.

I have noticed this too. I really like the new music but it does overtake the rest of the game's audio. I also think that that Menu/UI sound effects are very over powering too. I turn the volume up to hear the game sounds then when I open my menu or anything the sounds are very loud.
I think we can all agree that this change would be universally accepted, helpful, and taken advantage of. It's embarrassing how bare-bones the settings are, really.
Definitely support. I don't understand why these basic features weren't included in the original development of the game, even simple games on the Nintendo 64 from fifteen years ago have these sliders.
Wow that makes me feel old to say... has it really been about fifteen years? lol
I have to play on mute, because with 2 kids and me playing it, my wife has nearly been driven insane from the music. +1 to music volume slider. also +1 for more music tracks.

Here in may of 2015. Still wanting this.

Oh, yes, this - please, please, please! I had to build an AFK wool farm out of earshot of my base because their constant bleating makes me twitch.
My passive volume would be down all the way. I can't stand all the noises animals make.
