No Mesa biomes. Only new land generation that is confirmed is witch huts. This is a screenshot (Not off of 4j's Twitter but it is legit from the Playstation event...
On the PC, you can get Hardened Clay by baking normal clay blocks in a furnace, and Stained Clay by combining Hardened Clay with dye. Presumably that will be the method on the consoles as well.
Anyway, maybe the Update will be coming out sooner than I personally thought. Thanks to this picture, which is apparently the Tutorial World for the update, I would think that this would be something they would build after everything is done. At least that is my thought. Here is the Tutorial World:
Anyone get the bug where when you are in the middle of killing a zombie more spawn immediately? This happened multiple times, I hit the initial zombie like once or twice and then multiple zombies appear to come out of that zombie. So instead of fighting one Zombie with full gold armor I am fighting 3 in the blink of an eye lol
