It's only normal if you made the iron golem yourself. Naturally spawned ones should be able to hurt you, even on Peaceful. You have to hit either them or a villager but they should attack back.
The bugs I've noticed so far on xbox 1 edition: In the City Texture pack, the chests look glitchy, they glitch along the line where the chest opens. Double chests are all I've made, don't know if it does it with a single chest. I'm getting the annoying "popping" sound when you open a chest or select something with the A button. Very loud! That's it for bugs, but one thing I really would like to see is mob spawn limit raised. The X1 can handle much more! You can't really make a proper food farm with small numbers of food animals. Thanks.
Playing on hard and won't let me save. I also plugged in a usb while the game was paused and now I cant exit the pause screen or save. Btw im using the candy texture pack.
Spawners which were changed over to pig spawners are not a source of infinite XP, or food, they still are hostile spawners but are missing some data for the spawner to know exactly what to spawn. My guess is that NBT data is missing or incorrectly changed over.
Chunk Issue - Temp workaround?
I thought at first that if I gave the XBOX One enough time to load everything then eventually everything would just pop back. No such luck. Waiting does not help. There are only two ways I have been able to fix this issue and neither one is permanent.
The chunks are loaded, they just are not being rendered, if you place a block anywhere in the chunk that is not showing, you will suddendly find that the whole chunk gets rendered perfectly without any delay. So its there, just something has been flagged that the console doesn't need to draw that chunk for whatever reason.
In respects to the hard drive over use, your kinda going overboard aren't you? I mean PC's use their hard drive constantly, much much much more so then consoles and they don't fail after a year, hell most of them live at least 10+ years if not more.
I do agree with you that the game needs a 'Exit' option however, that actually closes the game, and defiantly would like to have the option of disable autosave 'saved'.
I enchanted an Iron Helmet with a level 30 enchantment, and got Protection IV and Respiration III. The protection seems to work fine, as does the beathig aspect of respiration, but my underwater vision has not changed, still cannot see what I'm doing down there haha. Other than that I don't seems to be having any major issues other than penned in animals and mobs from xp farm glitcjing through walls and then teleporting back to where they should be
Same as others with chests going empty with a new twist! All my villagers dissapered too! also now melon and pumpkin plants look like the stems are straight up and not touching the fruit. This maybe normal but it sucked ...had a creeper spawn in a villagers house that was like 4x4 with a villager in there too! I had the door blocked cuz it was the priest...he blew up ;-{ next day the rest of them vanished with my chest contents. I also have sound problems too. Wish they would add spawn eggs for villagers in survival or a way to repopulate or create your own village
Baby chickens are dying randomly for me. I haven't tested it in other worlds to see if it's a bug throughout every world, but I have this 2x2 of water with signs under it, tall enough so you can't jump out, that way I can collect eggs and farm the chickens. I don't know whether the problem is when they try to grow up, they suffocate, or if they're just dying from nothing. Either way, I don't think think it's normal as I had the same farm on a 360 world that worked just fine.

They used to die for me all the time on the 360. Then sometimes they would be fine. Try a different material around the water. I have seen villagers die in cobblestone houses for no reason at all. they seem to get sucked into the stone.
I can't create an online world, even though I have Gold. I keep crashing to desktop. I can create an offline world fine. My son's account can create an online world fine, and I can also join it in split screen co-op. I wonder if this is because the game was purchased on his account - it was an upgrade from 360. I would have thought as we both have a Gold account there shouldn't be any issues.
I've also managed to join another online game on XBL ok, so know I should be able to play online.
I can't create or join an online world. As soon as i try to join or create an online map, the game freezes and a buzzing sound starts before I get kicked out to the dashboard. I tried uninstalling and re-installing, removing skin/texture packs, cold booting the system, trying a different account on the machine and it still wont work. If it matters, my purchase of the game was the $4.99 upgrade since I owned it digitally on the 360(same account i used to purchase the 360 version).
When playing 2 player in offline world... I am 1st controller and out of nowhere I lose movement of my character and then it tries to tell me that I am connecting with player 3... I don't even own 3 controllers. At this point I cannot do anything to get back control of player 1(which has the ability to save)
I cannot create an online world or change a pre-existing world to online. As soon I click create the music skips super fast and then the game exits back to the XBOX home screen and restarts minecraft.
These 2 bugs are making it almost impossible to keep playing.

The game just freezes and closes after a few seconds. I have a valid gold account and tried re-installing, but it didn't work.
I don't appear to be able to create an online world or join an online game. Screen hangs with an annoying buzzing noise for about 10 seconds then goes back to dashboard.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled, checked NAT (open) - brother in law also downloaded game on his console and it works fine :-/
Ive seen a few other people report this - has anyone got any ideas as to why this occurs for some people ? Very disappointed 8 year old at the moment who can't play with his cousin :-(
My game works fine in offline mode, but as soon as I try to start it up online it just freezes, buzzes then throws me back to the dashboard. The world I'm playing in has previously worked online before, but now I can only load it up offline.
A friend of mine can't join or create an online game in Minecraft Xbox One Edition. If he joins my world or another world, the game crashes. If he tries to create his own online world, the game crashes too. If the box "Online" is unchecked, it's ok and he can create his world offline.
Has this bug been reported ? I don't see it in the official list but a lot of people are reporting it on Twitter. Thanks.
Have bought the game online for $20 for my kids (have gold account). Nor me neither kids can create online worlds. When I'm trying, game hangs with buzzing sound (for few seconds) then restarts. Kids can not create online games because some privacy settings, no idea which particularly. Both have "teen" settings for 10+ kids.
Andy ideas?
Do you any of use Online and Privacy settings on your account?

At least all the ten year old kids complaining about Duplication Glitches will be happy, about Microsoft owning Mojang all hail the new OVERLOARDS. ..LOL.. But i think it a good thing at least if there involved updated may come out more often if 4J is ok with microsoft being in charge now. All the best Notch love ya game, back to bugs i agree with disable autosave option not working all the time and using XP for crappy Enchantments is hard to keep playing i played Minecraft Xbox 360 for a year strait loved it and still do but Xbox one Disable Autosave not working right will make me not play it as much as the 360 version
There is this duplication glitch were you place a diamond block or any other block like that and then mine it then place it back real quick then you will have one in your inventory and one placed then you turn the block into ingots.

Sometimes, when playing, players other than player 1 will have a translucent white bar going horizontally across the screen unless "Show GUI" is turned off. It's probably associated with the hotbar or crosshair, because it is also gone in any other situation where the hotbar/crosshair is not shown, such as opening chests.
After playing Minecraft: Xbox One Edition for about a week, I've found several bugs. Some of which are already covered in this thread, others are ones not mentioned.
When transferring Xbox 360 worlds to Xbox One: 1) Villagers are duplicated with similar items to barter. Iron Golems are also duplicated. 2) The 5 tamed wolves I had in one village I built all became feral. 3) Minecarts also mysteriously duplicate when transferring worlds from the Xbox 360 to Xbox One when the minecarts stay on the rails.
On creating worlds on Xbox One: When maps for various sectors of larger (Medium & Large-size) worlds are placed together in item frames, after saving & quitting, when the world is loaded again, the image of the sectors depicted in the maps on the item frames disappears. The images reappear when the maps are taken into the inventory and viewed or when the maps are placed in their item frames again.
Selection SFX and music volumes are deafening while sounds for breaking blocks, triggering note blocks, and placing blocks are almost silent. Sounds for breaking blocks are also out of sync.

1. Mining animation is still way off and incorrect.
2. When i use the disable auto save option I always have to keep clicking it before I open my world because it doesn't save.
3. And non of my Xbox 360 saves aavailable to transfer.
not a bug, it is suppose to respawn after being mined.

Curse PremiumWorks fine if second player joins after world creation or the first player has joined the world.
