Collecting monster spawners in survival would be one of the worst things Mojang could add... You can already set up traps when you find a spawner, so being able to just put one anywhere is too much. Overpowered idea.

Honestly I dont know why people would care if another person wants spawners or other things. If you think it would overpower the game, simply not use said function.
I would love to see them in creative so you can place your own monsters in certain areas if making maps. TBH, I wouldnt care if someone I never met nor will ever play alongside me thinks it unbalances the game, since we are really talking localized games and not a MMO setting.
It would be cool for making quests but they would have to be far apart, to not glich the game like if you make a whole building out of spawners its just to much
I think problems related to choking out servers and such could be addressed with just putting a spawners per chunk limiter. I for one would love to at least use them in creative, although, with the limiter, I don't see why the Survival Silk Touch idea wouldn't be a go.
Small suggestion,, Will you please add being able to get mob SPAWNERS with a silk touch pick or at least in creative?
You could always just edit them into your inventory. And getting them with silk touch is kinda overpowered.
