This is just a little suggestion thread I wanted to make in order to propose some new features that I believe, would improve the newly added custom super flat that we just received.
For one, I could not help but notice that we're able to exclude or include certain features into our custom maps, such as strongholds, mine shaft's, and water ponds. However, one thing that I feel is missing is an option to generate rivers, which from my experience, tend to be plentiful and add to the variety within a world.
Second, we don't seem to be able to choose more than one biome for our super flat worlds. Nevertheless, I think we should be able to not only choose more biome's for our world, but we should also be able to choose the overall percentage of the map that each biome will occupy. Such as 25% jungle biome and 10% snowy biome as an example. I also think that the feature that allows us to select the number of strongholds and mine shaft's in our world should be applied to the biome generation so that we can decide to have one, or more biome's of the same type within a world, but separated from one another.
Third, why not make this customization available for non-super flat worlds? It would be great if we can keep the terrain of a randomly generated world, but have the ability to choose the biome's we want.
I had a similar thought last night about the multiple biomes in a superflat world.
I would love to see full customization of worlds, the % deal is an excellent idea
Thanks for the reply. I figured that if they were allowing us to choose the odds of a mineshaft spawning, then there was no reason for them to deny us the option to fully customize the biome's along with their respective size. The percent idea is actually from a combination of other people from some old threads that I can't quite remember, but it was never proposed as an idea on its own as far as I know. So I figured I should include it in here so that this idea was more complete
I am all for added map customization. While I did find a map that suits my needs pretty well, I am always finding something that could be better and quite frankly, too lazy to fix myself.
I used to play PC a while back when I had one, and me and my buddy used to play what we call "Superflat Survival", where we loaded an Overworld preset (which spawns ores, lava pools, ponds, generations like dungeons and villages). It was basically a regular world, just really flat with no caves, and it's only a Plains biome. So what we'd do is wander, looking for villages that had Blacksmiths in them, hoping their chests contained saplings. And once we did find them, that was how we survived in Superflat Survival. We were always up for challenges. We accomplished so much and received so many achievements from these types of worlds.
HOWEVER in the Xbon 360 Edition, attempting to make one of those worlds will bring up a "Achievements and leaderboards will be disabled" message. When we saw this, it broke our hearts that we cannot have the same amount of joy we did in the PC version.
What I'm trying to say is... We should be able to get achievements and leaderboard updates on Superflat worlds. I mean, I know some people could cheat by changing a layer of stone into Diamond ore or something, but at least for the Overworld preset, you know what I mean?
I mean, I know this probably has nothing to do with what you're talking about, but it's related to Superflat, isn't it?

I would like to see an option to change biomes after creation. I have recently created a superflat world with plains, but now I would like it to snow. I have tnt'd too much, and manually created mountains to abandon this world for another.
One small change I would love to see is have the 'outer boundaries' be the same level as the rest of map. As it stands, if you customize a superflat to like 120 blocks high, you have a dropoff and looks odd.

Feel free to post your thoughts.

I think if they can add weather adjustments like rain, thunder, and clear then why not snow? that's my question
