I don't think this would fit in the genre of the game on the whole...

I sometimes wonder if people ever think of how silly their suggestions would look beside a cauldron or someone with a bow as their primary weapon....

Hmm... I can udnerstand having a painting in the form of a 'tv', but not an actual tv...

what would play on them? Lol

... although I can see it fitting in with something like the Mass Effect mash-up pack or the City texture pack where many of the blocks have been changed to represent more current and/or futuristic items anyways. In addition, most of the younger kids I've played with have made pseudo-TVs and computers using paintings and other blocks somewhere in their builds and having a ready-made block would just simplify the task for them. As a result, I think it would be a block that would get used quite a bit. As for the TV actually playing anything and having different channels... not sure how that would actually work. If implemented, I would also hope they would expand the interface to allow for a the specific selection of paintings (as has been suggested in the past).

Not like it's hard to make 'makeshift tv's' anyway.

Upside down stairs or cobblestone wall, with a couple blocks and paintings on them etc. Dispensers as speakers etc. Looks fine.
