Its been quite sometime since I posted on this message board but I feel compelled too.
I’ve been working on a world for the better part of a year now. 98% of the time, its on survival hard mode, with the remaining 2% on peaceful for those instances where I'm working on the exterior of structures in the nether. The countless hours I've spent on this world have put me in the top 200 for kills on hard mode, and similarly just as high on other leader-board potions. Distance traveled, farming, etc....
I'm a diehard fan of this game and absolutely love it.
Now having spent so much time in one general location I’ve begun to notice a disturbing reality. Endermen given enough time, will totally destroy the aesthetic value of the landscape within a 150 block range of your project. I’ve gone thru over 3,000 dirt blocks, I kid you not, just to repair the damage left behind because of these devious mobs. The landscape surrounding my castle/mansion looked like swiss cheese before I finally realized what was going on. Unfortunately, I hadn't ventured outside of the walls of my compound in quite sometime due to some massive projects underground and the fact that its totally self sustained with everything I could ever need.
Now on the PC I understand that space is not an issue but in the 360, we have a predefined area and we’re bound to it. Are the rates by which endermen can grab and place blocks the same on the 360 as they are on the PC or other versions? If so why is this the case given the limitations of explorable/buildable space? It would be great if endermen didn’t grab dirt/grass/gravel blocks so freely, often and nonchalantly. I don't mind repairing what they do, but there's got to be some reasonable limit to how much they can do.
As I understand things now, they won't move blocks the player places. Does that mean my only resolve to this problem, is to excavate all the terrain surrounding my project, and then replace it? That seems like over-kill.
I've included a screenshot of my project for some reference to the world's makeup and terrain. Snowy with lots of rolling hills and ice ponds.
Outside of the walls of my project, the world was literally like swiss cheese. Holes everywhere. I know that sounds like an exaggeration but it was very bad and partly my fault for not venturing out enough. Though that too is an issue. Why must players constantly police the surrounding terrain from these beasts? I regret that I didn't have the foresight to take photo's of the swiss cheese damage before repairing it all. In fact, it was only after I finished fixing it all that I realized it was worth mentioning here.
So I present with my question/suggestion, a poll.

Well, Enderman's and their block placing isn't really too bothersome; but as SoulEmpire said, Enderman should only move blocks not placed by the player.
I have disagreed with similar suggestions in the past... but I think the in-game charm of endermen moving things about has long since worn off on me. Rather than just slowing them down, though, I actually would prefer that they just do not pick up and move any blocks at all anymore.
I'm not sure I want to see any change, but I understand it bothering others, so I'd have to agree with SoulEmpire. Removing it entirely would be taking away part of their personality, what makes them them, and what makes Minecraft the game it is.

At least I'm not judgmental like all you smug, superficial idiots.

Because to me, what they do move, is so far and in between that it doesn't really matter.
But I have had blocks that I have placed moved, such as a wooden plank from a floor and had to go get a new one.
So I guess I support.
