Somthing i heard a while back was consel maybe getting mods but i wasent sure so i made an extra to this about custom stuff. I think we should get mods for more exploration and such. We should have an app for smart phones and computer that allows us to choose what console were on and type our username and it will take the mod and transform it into anyones console but their would be a password system so noone sends your account random mods, skins ,and texture packs. Thank you
Mojang is not officially endorsing mods yet. And this is the suggestions forum for PC Minecraft. Besides, Microsoft has a strict rule on modding, making modding Minecraft for Xbox impossible.

And for the record, the primary thing stopping modding on consoles isn't getting them on the console, or even getting them to run on a console, it's trying to get Microsoft and Sony to willingly give up control over their system. Which is extremely unlikely to ever happen, because when it comes to mods, you're trying to convince them to both run unverified code and add an effectively infinite amount of free content for something that could have paid DLC.
Never going to happen, at least as far as modding. Neither Microsoft nor Sony will allow mods on their systems because there is too much risk that the content can do serious damage to game files or the console itself. That is why every game that goes onto consoles has to be thoroughly tested by both the developers and by Microsoft and Sony. It would be incredibly easy for a malicious developer to make a mod that could completely wreck a console and distribute it if they didn't have such stringent procedures for quality control.
Skins and textures could happen, as those would just be editing image files and could be done within the game itself if they built a system for it, similar to custom car decals in racing games. But that would involve a reporting feature or making so others can't view your custom skin when playing online (which was done for NASCAR: The Inside Line iirc)
Also, because this is for consoles and not PC, I'll move this to the Xbox suggestions section.

They will never support mods, if you mod on Xbox or any console for that matter, it is a perm ban (I have been banned for modding Xbox Live things) You may "mod" Minecraft for Xbox but the modding only consists of changing sky/cloud color, porting items to your inventory, and changing speed intervals (AKA Super Speed).
Ok this is the x360 forum for suggestions. I wish we had mods in dlc form but free like the dlc for gta 5. Because it be cool to have mods like redpower and industrial craft but on xbox.

Then why have it as a mod? You could just make a thread suggesting certain features (that are related, mind you) from a mod that you think would work well with the consoles. This is a suggestions forum after all.
