4J studios already said they would not add Book and quill. What they should add are written books.
That may not have made sense, but I'll explain.
PC maps are really cool, but unplayable on xbox due to the need of command blocks to get many actions accomplished. To add command blocks would be a pain in the ass, and no one would use them because it take 7 hours to write a sentence on xbox. Why not just add them as blocks unobtainable, and only usable in maps? Finally, PC can be played by awesome XBOX players. Im sorry if You cant understand what i'm going with.
In the future, 4J can actually add the other properties and such to these blocks and items

Written books (From the Pc) are books and quills that have been written and signed. It would be pointless adding these, if there was no book and quill to write in.

PC maps are unplayable on the Xbox largely because they are significantly larger in size and are built under a different version of minecraft where several blocks, MOBs and and Biomes just haven't been implemented yet. further, (largely due to corporate decisions) there is no way to 'share' maps on the xBox, which further limits the porting of maps back and forth within the same console environment, let alone cross platform.
Command blocks on the xBox is possible and even usable if the command line interface is replaced with a command block GUI that allows you to toggle and select the command structure largely from drop down menus and checkboxes/radio buttons.
I'm not sure by what you mean by "Why not just add them as blocks unobtainable, and only usable in maps?" If a block is unobtainable (even in creative mode), and doesn't naturally appear in Survival either... then what is the purpose of having it coded in the game in the first place.
There have been a lot of discussion as to exactly why a PC player would be extremely unlikely to play in an xBox environment that doesn't include the Console Manufacturer's Terms Of Service or other EULA restrictions.
None of that last part had anything at all to do with your original statement: "4J studios already said they would not add Book and quill. What they should add are written books." ...and as WoodBlock already pointed out, the book and quill is HOW a written book is made on the PC version.
Ok, so i have thought this over. What I'm suggesting is a update that will add all the blocks from PC, but only usable in maps created in PC, then converted to xbox.
In the future, 4J can actually add these blocks.
and I am really sorry for my last post, and if you don't get this one, this post.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Add all the blocks from the PC" and then "In the future, 4J can 'actually' add these blocks"
If 4J added all in one update, then they wouldn't need to add them again in the future.
Maps that are made on PC just aren't converted to xBox anyway, and will not likely happen ever in the future (largely due to the fact that PC maps have a much larger area coverage than console maps due to the differences in the way that the chunks are loaded and unloaded and/or stored), not to mention that the PC version is constantly being updated by Mojang where more blocks are constantly being added so 4J will always be playing catch up because it is Mojang that will determine how Minecraft with update for the foreseeable future.
PC and consoles aren't designed to play together in the same environment anyway, so what is the specific point of this suggestion?

Written books.. will be by writing of what we want in the books... But I'm also confused about your post.
So.. not sure if I'm on the right track
