I think this would be a terrific asset to Creative Mode especially. It's basically a wooden plank/glass block/ cobblestone block cut in half diagonally. Still with me? It will be a right-angled triangle in shape. When the block is placed, the right angle will always be faced away from you. It is available in all wooden plank forms (Jungle, Birch, Spruce and Oak) as well as Cobblestone and Glass. The Tri-Block's placement will always be vertically up. All blocks placed next to Tri-Block must "connect" to a right-angled side. Two Tri-Blocks can be made with 1 wooden plank/cobblestone block/glass block. This Tri-Block idea will really open new doors for ideas, such as pyramids, rockets, aeroplanes, signs giving directions... The possibilities are endless! Please leave comments and vote on the poll; hope you guys like it!
I'm so sorry Greg! I didn't know you had suggested this before! But, when I searched it I had no results??
No worries, it happens... even I apparently made a 'redundant' post myself which I could have avoided on a simple search and added to my predecessor's suggestion. Probably hard to find if you didn't use search terms like "wedge" or "ramp"... tri-block is a somewhat less than ideally descriptive name for this type of block... but if you didn't know what else to call it, that would make searching for similar ideas difficult at best.

I mean it'd be nice somewhat..
But I'm not sure I'm more prepared for the worlds to be polygonal.
