i know it might be laggy but they should add this they have it on the phone but not on the xbox does that make sense well it should be toggled in the game options pls give me ideas in the comments
The world's aren't really infinite on the pc, they're just very very lrge (Around 6 million blocks long I believe). The pc and peload/unload chunks differently from the Xbox, most likely because the Xbox doesn't have as much processing power. And cor those reasons, the Xbox can't have larger worlds without causing lag.
And a heads up for the future, suggesting mods, invite worlds, or requesting pc features is against forum rules, and you can have posts locked. Just letting you know, and welcome to the forums!

Actually, I think it has much more to support 4-player split screen functionality on the same console. As it is, the Console doesn't unload chunks once they are loaded, which tends to be a much higher drain on resources than releasing unused chunks as the PC does... but if you have 4 players doing this on the same console, it can be extremely burdensome for that console in performing chunk swapping necessary for supporting larger worlds.
You can suggest it, but I think you know full well that it has been suggested before... time and time again. After more than two years, face it.... it's not gonna change. (I was hoping that no one would respond to this thread at all.)
So... I'm going to make an alternate suggestion to try to end the whining and arguing about this on this forum. I think that 4J should post a permanently pinned response to the "infinite world" question stating once and for all their reasons for choosing not to offload the chunks on the Xbox 360 the way it's done on the PC and why there is a limit to the world size. Hopefully, once that it done, people will just please stop harping on the issue... in the name of peace, please.
Sorry if my response came across a little harsh. Welcome to the forums. Please take a few minutes to check out the numerous older posts regarding "infinite" worlds... it's not uncommon for people to troll the forums by making new throw-away accounts just to stir the pot... but there are also people who also innocently make the suggestion... That is why I think a permanently pinned post on the issue would save a lot of trouble.

Lol yeah we all go a bit crazy with these threads. Especially Servers and this suggestion.

I'm also old and have days where my arthritis makes me crankier than others... My age also means that I have weathered a lot of "community" storms. There is here, as with most "clubs" I know of, groups of people who make money off the hobby interests of the others in the club. Nothing wrong with that, except (more often than not), the ones following the front runners and wanting to get into such activities later get pushy about promoting things they feel will enhance their "business" ventures. One downside is that such "self-interest" tends to inject a lot of stress into hobby communities in general.
Just one possible explanation for the extremeness and duration of the "infinite" worlds, modding, and larger server debates is that there is a group of people chomping at the bit to make the same sort of "business" out of those activities on the Xbox as they have on the PC (and the fact that such "sideline" business ventures exist on the PC is well documented now by the debate over changes to the current EULA there). However, the current policies of the console makers largely block (probably intentionally) such activities. There are, of course, some upsides to such sideline franchises. For example, on the PC, it has tended to keep interest in the game high over a longer period of time by injecting variety to the various servers. However, let's face it, the way advertising is handled on the internet IS more conducive to such "entrepreneurialism."

Oh yeah.. Like with their own servers and whatnot... "download this seed here for $0.99" kinda thing.

You can follow the news of such activities on the PC section of the forum if you want. Mostly I'm referring to large-scale servers that utilize mods and then "sell" the modded game-advantage items to some of the players on the server for real cash. The reports that were given as the reason for Mojang changing the EULA were that some of these servers were racking up thousands of dollars in "sales" from their players. Human nature being what it is, I'm sure that there are at least some who would love to "cash in" similarly through using Minecraft "servers" on the Xbox. However, the current small world size, the limited number of players, lack of community-based mods; and lack of 24/7 servers is, by and large, blocking those activities from developing... hence the ongoing extreme pressure to convince 4J to change things.

It's okay, you're new here, it's alright to make mistakes
