Have you ever wanted to skip the time to day without changing your spawn? Here's the solution: Sleeping bags
Sleeping bags are crafted from 3 pieces of wool, and can be placed like normal beds, and would be as thick as snow when placed. No matter what color ou used to craft, the sleeping bags would always be blue. They allow you to sleep like normal beds, but will not change the players spawnpoint, so now you can go exploring and sleep without having to worry about your respawn. Good for camping trips and expeditions
When you break the bed, it messes up your respawn. Sleeping bags would also be good for minigames, if you want to skip to day without changing the midpoint or respawn.

I haven't tested it for awhile now, but I think if you just put down a second bed, sleep in it and then break it in the morning, your spawn reverts again to your previous bed. If it doesn't still work that way, then just setting up a "safe house" with some supplies in a chest or an enderchest at the original spawn point on the map and you're covered... and then just sleep in your main base bed once you're done to reset your spawn there.
I don't know about other survival players, but I prefer to reset my spawn frequently to an area closer to where I'm working rather than leaving my spawn at home anyway. This, I suspect, will be even more important on a larger map where, if you die, you don't want to have to try running all the way from your base to where you're working.
So, while the idea of sleeping bags is somewhat cool, I doubt I'd ever use the concept myself.

The spawning perks are what make me like this idea.
I thought it sounded stupid at first and even thought for a second 'what's the point?' because I saw 'places like a bed' so I started thinking 'then use a bed', but... after I saw it doesn't change the spawn... I think it's enough to garner my support...
Even though... I don't mind using a bed temporarily and then sleeping in my actual bed at my house.

Agreed... the "no change to the spawn point" makes this a viable suggestion. I, personally, probably wouldn't use it though... I rarely use a bed as it is, and usually, only to change my spawn point.

I only use beds when I'm in the middle of building something mostly and need daylight to work and see what I'm doing.. Yeah I can use potions.. But I'd rather not.
I thought if you broke the last bed you were sleeping in , you'd not reset your spawn ? It would say : Your home bed was missing or obstructed .
I tested it last night. I made a second bed, went out "on the road" and slept in it. Then died to make sure I respawned in that second bed. Then I broke the bed and died again. I respawned at my initial spawn point (i.e. the one when you first create the world). So, the current workaround would be to have a chest of emergency supplies at the intital world spawn, so that if you die between the time you break your camp bed in the morning and either getting home to reset your spawn point there or when you set a new camp bed down, you can grab some supplies and go back to find your stuff. Another way would be to always make your home base near the intitial world spawn so that nomatter what you do, you'll always spawn close to home.
So, I guess the idea of sleeping bags has some merit... but I would prefer that they just change beds so that if you leave a primary one intact at home, then when you break a "camp" bed, you're spawn just reverts to your "home" bed. (ie. always the most recent intact bed that you've slept in).
I delete my worlds and I have special rules in my worlds . I can't die . (Hardcore) And I must drink water for every loss of hunger ... This suggestion doesn't affect me ...
You drink a bottle of water for every hunger bar lost? Why?

the worlds arent big enough so exploring the world is fast , and mobs are pushovers even on hard mode so a night strolll is not hard
