Im currently working on my 1st town ever in minecraft. I work on it, night and day! (Minecraft Night and Day)
However I dont seem to be able to work on it during Sunset. I actually love the sunset in minecraft, however it is very short, and I dont want it to be extremely long, being that it will ruin it's beauty. All I desire is a few more minutes added towards the sunset. The reason why I suggest this is because MCXB360 doesn't have Mods, so it means I dont have shades mod, and I love the shades mod. The sunset in MCXB360 (all other consoles actually) is close to shaders mod with the original sunset, I dont really like building in the dark, or bright sunlight. Since I dont usually get much done then I usually settle for daytime, and a short period at night.
The idea is simple, I dont see it being elaborated, it doesnt seem that complex, I could be wrong but even so I truly suggest a longer period of sunset, if we dont seem to get mods.
And entire day-night cycle is 20 minutes. Adding more time would mess up a lot of game time mechanics. If anything, we could increase the sunrise and set by 30 seconds, and remove a minute from the day.

Or, extend the sunrise/sunset to a full minute on both ends, and either subtracting 2 minutes from the day, or just leave the recognized Day/Night markers alone for bed/sleep cycle purposes and have the sunrise/sunset extend into the 'night' frame.
This would be more realistic to how sunsets and sunrises actually appear in real life due to atmospheric lensing when the suns rays are hitting the atmosphere at extreme angles as it does at sunrise and at sunset. Which also causes the sun / and moon / to appear much larger than normal at these times, but not as bright.
Typically, when we are viewing a sunrise or a sunset, (or moonrise/moonset) the sun/moon are technically below the horizon at those times, and what you are actually seeing is caused by the bending of the light as it skims across the upper atmosphere and curves downward to the observer.
However, I digress... the mechanics involved to do so would be little more difficult to superimpose a swelling/setting or shrinking/rising sun/moon over the existing sun/moon at the times around the sun/moon - rise/set, and extend the duration of the atmospheric effects at those times, but otherwise, just keep the game day time to sleep/wake the same as it is now.

Yeah I think I can agree with this.
