What I really want in Minecraft Xbox 360 is the draw distance to be increased. Make it further only on solo games though.
I was thinking on like 1.5 times more distance just on solo maps. On mutiplayer games or split screen games, the draw distance is the same it is now. It is quite possible I think. When I'm making a large build like a castle, I have to put up with 3/4 of it out of chunk range, making it more or less difficult to build things or take screenshots of the whole thing.
well the XBoxOne has an increased distance, maybe itll be an exclusive for next gen. but i would like this. support. also just saw (i think it was you) suggest this on twitter lol

I'm not going to support this at this time due to the technical challenges that would be involved with doing this, not that it isn't an appealing idea on the surface.
Right now, the render distance is equal to the chunk load distance when you start the game, your proposition is to have the render distance to go beyond the chunk load distance without addressing that aspect, but only conditionally for single player games.
I suppose if the chunk load distance were similarly conditionally increased for single player only, this could be a viable option... as long as lag doesn't become too bad in Single Player.
