Why does writing on signs after you place them only have to be black?

Why not colours, like Green, Orange, Red, Yellow, and White for example?

Thoughts?

I wouldn't mind having different colours.

I'd like it if the signs were the same colour as the wood you are putting it next to like Jungle,Spruce Etc.

It's not totally needed. This is really just for decoration purposes.
