This is an extension of my recent post, more wood types.
As I said in my older post about thus subject, I was not specific enough, so now I will list specific trees and wood types.
Mahogany- A dark reddish wood that could be found in forest biomes. The pattern would be much less grainy than oak.
Hickory- A lighter shade of oak with a more grainy pattern. Would be found in forests.
Frozen tree- A tree that has been frozen to the core, causing it's blue coloration. Would be found in taiga biomes, and have the default pattern for wood.
Overgrown oak- A tree that has been tangled in vines and covered in mushrooms, causing a pale green color. Would be found in forests and swamps, and have the default plank texture.
Willow- A tree with a white or cream color. Would be found in swamps, and would have a less grainy texture than default planks.
Cherry- A tree with a light pink plank color. Would be rarely found in forests, and have a less grainy texture than default planks.
Petrified wood-a non-flammable, tan color of wood that would be found in deserts and have a very grainy texture.
Maple-A wood that would have a dark brown color, with the potential to produce maple syrup! Don't know how yet. Would be found in forests, and have a less grainy plank texture.
Note-All colors and textures were referring to planks, not logs.
Frozen tree- A tree that has been frozen to the core, causing it's blue coloration. Would be found in taiga biomes, and have the default pattern for wood.
.... Frozen Tree??? I assume you just want something blue for wood... consider the denim pine, here's a picture of the flooring:
Come to think of it... I sort of like the "bois de rose" as illustrated here:

Short and to the point.
And I also support it.
