Every now and then, I tend to get bored with the same four wood types that we have here on the xbox version of Minecraft. Now, I am aware that the PC version has two more wood types, being acacia and dark oak, which add a whole new dimension to many peoples builds. But that was just two new woods. Think of what we could do with green, blue, or even other colors of woods. I know for a fact that new woods would help me in my builds.
Please, tell me your considerations on this topic.
Is this also a proposition of dying planks/wood in general? Stating that there are other shades of wood being green, blue, etc...
Yes, this could be a proposition of dying wood types. However, I was actually stating that there should be more types of trees, I should have been more specific.
How about hickory? The bark would be textured more like cracks and gray bark, and the wood would be a shade between oak and birch. The main advantage of this tree type is that its planks, as opposed to smelting 1.5 items, it smelts 2, and the wood being able to smelt 3 things. It should take longer to mine though.
I'd like to see new wood types with different base textures to be completely honest. All except the birch wood, the other types have the same base pattern with varying shades of brown.
I'd like to see new wood patterns, colours, and types.
Yes, I agree, but I didn't want to be "wishlisting."

"Wishlisting" is when there are multiple unrelated suggestions listed and/or the author did not take the time to effectively relate the ideas together or when presented in a way that makes it appear to be an unrelated listing.

Yes, I will probably post a more in depth version of this post later, including the tree types.

Actually, you should be able to "paint" the wood rather than dye it. Then they could maybe add paint?
I agree. I mean, spruce wood is already dark.

I support the idea; however I think this topic is redundant.

More woods to build with would be exquisite as I enjoy building myself.
How would this add more tools, all it is is more wood types. We already have wooden tools. But yes, this is mainly just for building purposes.

I'd rather see... I don't know Cherry Blossoms.
Well Minecraft isn't exactly meant to be a realistic game.
Yes, cherry trees could produce reddish-pinkish wood.

^^^^ Click it! You know you want to...
Dark oak is a wood already in the PC version of minecraft.
I know it is.. that's what some people said. I'm saying what's the point to it?
May as well just use Spruce then.
That's why I said Cherry Blossom. Or Apple, etc. Whatever I just don't see why have Dark Oak doesn't make sense much to me.
Also, Ironwood shouldn't catch on fire as easily as the already existing woods in the game.
