I have a idea for a new passive flying mob. Birds!
Bird:
Health Points: 10 (5 hearts)
Spawn: Anywhere on the surface
Drops: Feathers (the feather color is whatever color the birds fur is) and Raw Bird Meat
Experience: 1-3
New Items:
*Bird Meat
Bird Meat:
When you first kill a bird, they drop Raw Bird Meat. Cooking this meat in a furnace gives you Cooked Bird Meat. Raw Bird Meat restores 1 shank And Cooked Bird Meat restores 3 shanks.
Never seen a bird with fur...... why don't they drop feathers?

While I would appreciate the added ambiance to the game, the hardware restrictions of the 360 force me to be more practical. I'd rather they focused on optimizing what can be done with the current mobs.
Birds flying around sounds nice, but they don't add anything else to the game. Feathers and gamey bird-meat aren't enough to make this a suggestion I can support.
I will give you partial support for this idea as I do like the idea of adding a new bird however I don't think it should be the nameless bird you have suggested.
The new bird shall be an Emu.
There are infinite marvelous reasons why the Emu should be implemented into Minecraft and I'm glad you asked me to list some of them.
- A bit of cultural diversity to the game, I am yet to see one Australian animal in Minecraft and frankly I find that a little racist
- Emu eggs would provide a nutritional alternative to the beef and chicken meat already offered
- The addition of another aggressive mob which would quickly make it's way to the top of the food chain as no one can really take down an Emu
Item drops would include the following:
Emu Eggs
Emu Talons
Emu Feet
Other parts of an Emu
Once the Emu is introduce then this will make way to other ferocious mobs such as the Koala and Kangaroo.

I'd like crows.
Since their feet are a popular thing in witch craft if I'm not mistaken.. it'd be fun to have some element of that to the game.
Perhaps have it drop a Black feather if you combine with your helmet it puts a feather into it (like a classic spanish one or something), or if you just put the feather in the helm slot, it just shows one on the side of your head, kinda like you're wearing it on the top of your ear or something

I agree. They would be nice to see in further updates but other things must be done first. This would be nice to make you feel like you are in a vacuum while playing the game.

FYI Kangaroos are actually pretty deadly.
